Gareth is a passionate, multi-talented Film, Video, & Digital Content Production Specialist and Lecturer, highly regarded for his 10 years of experience actively freelancing and managing complex projects. He is able to oversee projects from concept to completion and react quickly to new challenges within tight deadlines, all while collaborating with team members to examine and understand project goals and deliver creative concepts. His short films have and are being shown on television and at various film festivals across the world, and he has been the creative lead on projects for clients such as The United Nations Population Fund. He is an expert in using narrative structure, directing, technology and workflow optimization to facilitate creative vision and build audience engagement. Gareth has a proven track record as a dynamic presenter and motivational educator, with 6 years of experience teaching Screenwriting, Directing, Cinematography / Videography, Video Editing, Audio Editing, Audio Mixing, Color Correction and Color Grading, Media History and Communications Theory at the post-secondary level in both South Africa and Canada. His exemplary academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Film & Television from the University of the Witwatersrand, a Bachelor of Arts in Motion Picture Medium from AFDA, and a Diploma in Sound Engineering from The Academy of Sound Engineering. Gareth is also a certified Avid ProTools operator and Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Certified End User.
